4D Ministry Apprenticeship

The 4D Ministry Apprenticeship is for women & men who have a passion to share Jesus with others and have demonstrated leadership ability. It is for people who desire a deeper understanding of God and his word. They might be 25 and single or 50 and married with children, it does not matter. You might be a school leaver, someone from a trade background looking for a pathway into ministry, or someone who wants to explore whether or not vocational ministry is for you. The 4D ministry apprenticeship is fantastic for people who learn on the job.

What is it?

The 4D Ministry Aprenticeship has an emphasis on developing practical competency in ministry. Over the course of a year you’ll be practically equipped to serve in ministry leadership roles in your church. You will study Christian thinking and practice in vocational training. You will complete a Certificate IV in Christian Ministry and Theology 10433NAT (Training is delivered through Vocational Bible College Limited RTO #41496).

The assessments are based on your ability to perform a task rather than your ability to write about it.

The apprenticeship also involves spending time working closely with the Pastor in your local church context.

Who’s it for?

The 4D Ministry Apprenticeship is for women & men who have a passion to share Jesus with others. It is for people who desire a deeper understanding of God and his word and who want to expand their ministry experience. They might be 25 and single or 50 and married with children, it does not matter. You might be a school leaver, someone from a trade background looking for a pathway into ministry, or someone who wants to explore whether or not vocational ministry is for you. You might even be a school-leaver looking for something to do on your gap year. The 4D ministry apprenticeship is fantastic for people who learn on the job.

What does it look like?

You will spend one day a week with a qualified Vocational Bible College Trainer who will lead you through the course material, oversee assessments and feedback on course content.

As well, you will spend time practicing ministry skills alongside your Pastor. If you are already volunteering in your church some of this will be things you are already doing, and you will be pushed to develop your skills and learn a wide range of practical ministry skills. The course has a high practical component and encourages you to try out new things with the support of your Pastor and church.
