Due to the ability to buy insurance collectively, the churches are able to obtain a wide range of insurance coverage at very competitive rates. The settlement of claims is expedited quickly and effectively. A similar coverage at the rate provided would be very difficult for individual churches to obtain, if it could be obtained at all, for covers such as Public Liability, etc.

The nature of this insurance cover, which is arranged separately from the National Insurance Scheme, is to provide personal accident cover for employees during their travel to and from work. This insurance also covers volunteer workers.

The Application Form sets out the schedule of benefit provided for both employees and voluntary workers. We recommend that the church take this cover for you employees and regular volunteers, this is excellent value (*GST inclusive). Payable in advance – that is for the year from 1st July to 30 June. This is normally due mid June. Please note that this cover differs from the personal accident cover provided as part of your general insurance premium, in that this is specifically for travel to and from work, this is precluded from the general personal accident cover.
