Empowering communities to develop their own distinctive ways of following Jesus

The Baptist Mission Australia story

In 1864 Australian Baptist Mission was established and 18 years later, the first two missionaries were sent from Flinders Street Baptist, Adelaide to India. Today, Baptist Mission Australia partners with Australian Baptists to see growing, vibrant faith communities emerge among 9 least-reached people groups across Africa & Asia and continues ongoing relationships with faith communities among Outback Australia, Asia, the Pacific, the Middle East and Africa.

What we do

Whilst our primary task is to send people to serve long term and short term, we also exist to equip individuals and local churches to support this work and develop their own heart for the nations globally.
