Inspire Conference 2020

If you have a heart for mission – this event is for YOU. The gospel is more than just good news, it is truly uncontainable. If you’re considering, exploring or practicing church planting, revitalisation, or another creative endeavour to share the gospel, Inspire is the perfect place to gain encouragement, discernment, and to rub shoulders with like-minded thinkers.

This year at Inspire, we have gathered a line up of passionate, experienced, creative speakers to encourage and spur you on in your own mission context. We are excited for them to share with you over 48 hours of sessions, electives and coffee, at West Beach Community Church.

Choose to attend full-time, or come along for one day if that’s what suits your schedule.

Speakers

Sam Chan

Sam Chan (PhD, Trinity Evangelical Divinity School) is the author of Evangelism in a Skeptical World. He is a public evangelist with City Bible Forum in Sydney, Australia, where he regularly shares the gospel with high-school students, city workers, doctors, and lawyers. He speaks at conferences around the world on the topics of ethics, storytelling, apologetics, and the practice of evangelism in a post-Christian culture. Sam blogs at espressotheology.com.
He will be joining us online at Inspire this year.

After twelve years as a pastor, then five years as a missionary, Trav founded the organisation AccessTheStory in 2014 as an initiative to see story-formed discipleship spread throughout Australia and beyond. AccessTheStory provides group story experiences and equipping for leaders across four states in Australia, and has begun supporting some mission activity in the Philippines.

Carrying a passion to love and connect with his local community, Ben brings with him years of experience working for Anglicare, Life Without Barriers and Aboriginal Family Support Services as a mentor, family support worker, youth worker and even a podiatrist a lifetime ago! Together with his wife Julie, three adult children, and a growing cohort of passionate followers of Jesus, The Port Church has established a strong and lasting presence on the Le Fevre Peninsula, known widely around Adelaide as a graveyard for churches.
