Pastors Conference is a retreat held annually for Baptist Church pastors

Pastors Conference is our annual gathering of Pastors and Pastoral teams. Pastors Conference is always a fantastic time of connection, vulnerability, and shared story as we gather with leaders from across our movement.

We’ll also share together in our famous family chat, hot topic conversations and an important session on our wellbeing. We’d love to see you, your teams, your spouses join us for Pastors Conference 2019.

This year Keith Jobberns is one of our guest speakers. Keith will speak from his life experience in pastoral, mission and national leadership roles. He will also help us to understand the story of the national Baptist movement. Keith grew up in Sydney and committed his life to Christ while a student at Sydney University. In 1976 Keith entered Morling College. In 1983 Keith began missionary service with ABMS (now GIA) in the Indonesian province of Papua (Irian Jaya). The Jobberns family returned to Australia and in 1991 Keith became the pastor at Dural Baptist Church. In 2004 Keith took up the role of General Director with Global Interaction. Keith commenced his current roles as the National Ministries Director of Australian Baptist Ministries and the Director of Crossover Australia in 2012.

Brooke Prentis is also joining with us to share about our place in our national story and where and how we can walk alongside Aboriginal sisters and brothers across our nation. Brooke is a Wakka Wakka woman and Aboriginal Christian Leader. Brooke is a founding board member in Australia of NAIITS: an Indigenous Learning Community, a Scholar of the Australian Centre for Christianity and Culture, and a 2019 Anglican Deaconess Ministries Senior Fellow. Brooke is a speaker, writer, community pastor, and advocate, and is the Aboriginal Spokesperson for Common Grace and Coordinator of the Grasstree Gathering. Brooke has appeared on national television and radio broadcasts including ABC’s The Drum, Soul Search with Dr Meredith Lake, God Forbid with James Carleton and Sunday Nights with John Cleary.
